Role overview
The Gypsum Carpenter performs gypsum installation, interior finishing, renovation, and maintenance work.
The role requires quality workmanship and timely project completion.
Key responsibilities
- Install gypsum partitions, false ceilings, bulkheads, wall cladding, and decorative gypsum features.
- Modify, repair, and replace gypsum installations as required.
- Measure sites and perform marking, leveling, cutting, framing, and installation.
- Read shop drawings, technical drawings, and site instructions.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, jointing, and finishing.
- Treat joints, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to avoid delays and rework.
- Check materials and tools and report shortages or site issues promptly.
- Complete tasks on schedule and to quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, follow safety procedures, and protect completed work.
- Clarify discrepancies and technical issues with the supervisor before proceeding.
- Work at different project sites across Dubai as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of gypsum carpentry and interior-finishing experience.
- Hands-on experience in fit-out, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Practical skills in gypsum ceilings, partitions, bulkheads, wall cladding, and decorative works.
- Good understanding of measurements, drawings, and site requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- UAE experience is preferred; immediate availability is an advantage.
- Responsible, hardworking, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
Employment and work location
- Full-time, in-person role in Dubai, with work at different project sites as required.
