Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or certification in Fitness Training, Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Valid fitness certification is required; CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a Gym Instructor, Fitness Trainer, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise techniques, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for health and fitness.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests and provide professional fitness guidance.
- Conduct fitness assessments and develop personalized workout programs.
- Demonstrate the safe and effective use of gym equipment; monitor activities and proper exercise technique.
- Lead individual and group exercise sessions when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the fitness center.
- Assist with promoting gym memberships, personal training services, and wellness programs.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
