Position summary
The role supports guest check-in, guest relations, payments, requests, reporting, and team operations at a Marriott property.
Guest and front-desk operations
- Verify guest identity and payment, assign rooms, issue keys, and set up accurate guest accounts.
- Enter rewards information, check rates and billing, document exceptions, and process payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges.
- Compile daily reports and logs; complete cashier and closing reports; balance receipts and secure the bank.
- Provide property information, respond to guest requests, follow up, and notify Security of reported theft.
Team, service, and compliance
- Assist management with employee training, evaluation, counseling, motivation, and coaching; support team goals and respond to employee concerns.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally with guests and employees.
- Follow company policies and quality standards, report unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and protect confidential information and company assets.
- Prepare and review written documents, answer telephones, and use computers and POS systems.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Work arrangement
