Guest communications and service
- Operate the telephone switchboard and process guest calls, including wake-up, screening, forwarding, conference, TDD relay, and do-not-disturb requests.
- Record and relay messages accurately; monitor busy or unanswered lines and update callers on hold.
- Activate or deactivate guest room message lights and advise guests of messages.
- Explain internet access and transfer connection problems to the provider’s support line.
- Test communications equipment and respond to special requests, including requests involving unique needs.
- Coordinate issue resolution with the appropriate person or department, follow up with guests, and dispatch bell or valet staff when needed.
Standards and working conditions
- Follow company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and comply with quality standards.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, communicate professionally, and support team goals.
- Use computers and/or POS systems; duties may require extended standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is specified as necessary.
- No license or certification is required.
