General Practitioner (Gp)
provides comprehensive medical care to patients in their homes, ensuring safe, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare services.
The GP assesses, diagnoses, and manages patients’ medical conditions while coordinating with nurses, therapists, specialists, and the healthcare team to deliver quality care outside the traditional clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct home-based patient consultations, medical assessments, and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a home healthcare setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Perform follow-up visits and monitor patient progress and recovery.
- Review laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and medical records.
- Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medical interventions.
- Manage elderly patients, post-operative cases, chronic disease patients, and patients requiring ongoing medical support.
- Coordinate with nurses, physiotherapists, caregivers, and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and family members regarding disease management, medication compliance, and preventive care.
- Identify changes in patient conditions and escalate cases requiring urgent medical attention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and company policies.
- Participate in research and development for services and product and quality improvement initiatives that contribute to patient safety and welfare.
