**Job Summary:** The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing evidence-based nutrition assessment, dietary counseling, and personalised nutrition care plans to patients.
The role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient outcomes through medical nutrition therapy, lifestyle interventions, and ongoing monitoring.
1. Nutrition Assessment & Care Planning
- Conduct patient nutrition assessments and identify dietary needs and risks.
- Review medical information and develop individualised nutrition care plans.
- Recommend appropriate nutrition interventions.
2. Patient Consultation & Education
- Provide nutrition counseling and educate patients on healthy eating, meal planning, and lifestyle changes.
- Support dietary management for chronic conditions including diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic conditions.
3. Clinical Monitoring & Follow-Up
- Monitor patient progress and effectiveness of nutrition plans.
- Adjust recommendations based on patient outcomes and medical changes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient care plans.
- Provide nutrition recommendations as part of holistic patient management.
5. Quality & Patient Safety
- Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure confidentiality and evidence-based nutrition practice.
6. Service Development Support
- Identify patients who may benefit from nutrition services.
- Support patient engagement, retention, and utilization of nutrition programs.
• License & Certification
- Valid DHA License/registered dietitian according to DHA and UAE healthcare requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Experience
Experience in clinical nutrition, chronic disease management, or home healthcare preferred.
Experience providing patient counseling and developing nutrition plans.
Skills And Competencies
- Strong clinical assessment and nutrition planning skills.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a home healthcare environment.
- Strong documentation and healthcare record management skills.
Performance Indicators
- Patient Nutrition Assessment Completion Rate (% of completed patient nutritional assessments)
- Quality of Clinical Documentation (≥95% completeness and accuracy of patient medical records with timely completion)
- Patient Follow-Up Compliance (% of completed follow ups, specifically to patients enrolled in wellness programs)
- Clinical Compliance & Patient Safety (100% compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements)
- Patient Outcome Improvement Rate (% of patients showing significant and measurable improvements)
- Nutrition Service Utilisation (Conversion of eligible patients into appropriate healthcare programs/services)
Working Conditions
- Location: 202 Capital Golden Tower, Business Bay
- Work Timings: 48 hours/week, 6 days per week (as per UAE labor law) for full time, Part-time and commission basis to be determined upon hiring
- May require occasional travels within Dubai for home visits
