General Manager – International Business & Operations

Position Overview

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term business strategy.
• Translate management objectives into measurable business plans and KPIs.
• Identify new markets, products, business opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
• Provide strategic recommendations and business performance reports to management.

Business and Commercial Management

• Own revenue growth, profitability, and commercial performance.
• Lead sales, business development, purchasing, logistics, operations, and other key functions.
• Develop sales and market-expansion strategies across GCC and international markets.
• Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Monitor markets, competitors, pricing, margins, and customer requirements.

P&L and Financial Management

• Take responsibility for overall business profitability and financial performance.
• Review budgets, forecasts, margins, operating costs, working capital, and cash-flow requirements.
• Work with Finance on financial controls and cost management.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce unnecessary operating expenditure.

Operations and Supply Chain

• Coordinate Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance.
• Improve processes, productivity, inventory management, and operational controls.
• Establish SOPs, accountability structures, and performance standards.
• Ensure timely delivery and resolution of operational issues.

People and Organizational Leadership

• Build and lead a professional, accountable, performance-oriented management team.
• Establish responsibilities, KPIs, reporting structures, and performance standards.
• Develop senior and middle management capabilities through coaching and structured development.
• Support workforce planning and succession planning while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.

International Business Development

• Expand international customer and distributor networks.
• Develop opportunities across Europe, GCC, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and other strategic markets.
• Represent the company in customer meetings, exhibitions, negotiations, and international business discussions.
• Build long-term partnerships with international customers and suppliers.

Process Improvement and Compliance

• Review processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive ERP/Odoo utilization, management reporting, automation, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
• Promote Lean Management, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, company policies, and international business standards.
• Maintain internal controls and manage commercial and operational risk.
