Job description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a seasoned General Manager – Construction to build and lead our construction function from the ground up.
This is a rare leadership opportunity to shape strategy, systems, and teams — starting with low- to mid-rise developments and scaling into high-rise and complex projects.
Role Purpose
Full accountability for construction delivery from feasibility to handover, driving time, cost, quality, safety, and compliance, while building a scalable, high-performance contracting organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish construction organization structure, governance & SOPs
- Lead end-to-end project delivery (low/mid-rise → high-rise)
- Drive project controls, cost management, QA/QC & HSE frameworks
- Oversee procurement, contracts & subcontractor strategy
- Manage authority approvals, compliance & key stakeholders
- Build, mentor & scale high-performing construction teams
- Design future-ready systems for complex developments
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (Master’s preferred)
- 15+ years of construction leadership experience in the GCC
- 7–10+ years UAE market experience
- Senior leadership background within contracting companies
- Proven delivery of high-rise & complex developments
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations & authority processes
- Experience setting up or scaling construction operations
Compensation
AED 50,000 – 55,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
