General Manager – Agriculture

Position Summary

• We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Agriculture to lead and grow a large-scale agriculture and greenhouse business in Qatar.
• The role will be responsible for overall business performance, commercial growth, farming operations, and strategic development.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in agribusiness, fresh food production, greenhouse operations, or food-related FMCG sectors within the GCC region.
• **Key Responsibilities:*** Lead the agriculture business with full P&L responsibility.
• Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with market opportunities.
• Oversee greenhouse, hydroponic, and farming operations to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive sales growth across retail, wholesale, HORECA, and institutional channels.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, retailers, and government entities.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and overall financial performance.
• Lead supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Support innovation, sustainability, water efficiency, and smart farming initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local agricultural, food safety, and operational regulations.
• Build and lead high-performing multicultural teams.
• **Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Finance, or related field.
• MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of leadership experience in agriculture, fresh food production, agribusiness, agri-trading, or FMCG sectors.
• Strong P&L management experience.
• Experience managing commercial operations and business growth in GCC markets.
• Strong background in retail, HORECA, wholesale, or food distribution channels.
• Experience in greenhouse, hydroponics, protected agriculture, or controlled-environment farming is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English & Arabic is mandatory.
