A General Accountant is sought for a legal accounting office, with expertise in accounting procedures in Saudi Arabia, including VAT and financial statement preparation.
The stated experience range is 3–5 years.
Role duties
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including the general ledger, income statement, and cash-flow statement.
- Review accounts, interpret discrepancies, and identify and correct errors.
- Handle VAT accounting and prepare tax returns accurately in line with local regulations.
- Explain financial figures and reports to management and non-financial departments.
- Meet monthly and annual account-closing and tax-submission deadlines.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
Qualifications and skills
- 3–5 years of experience and expertise in Saudi accounting procedures, including VAT.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; examples include SAP, Oracle, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables for large datasets.
- Knowledge of VAT accounting and local regulations and ability to prepare tax returns accurately.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Clear communication of financial information, time management, integrity, and confidentiality.
- CVs must be submitted in Arabic.
Working hours
- Saturday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
