General Accountant role with accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and banking responsibilities.
Accounting and financial reporting
- Manage daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and general ledger activities.
- Perform bank, customer, supplier, petty cash, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor receivables, review supplier invoices, and support payment processing.
- Maintain fixed asset records, inventory reconciliations, and accurate ERP data.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and support cash flow planning and forecasting.
- Support internal and external audits and comply with accounting standards, company policies, and local regulations.
Payroll and banking
- Process monthly payroll and verify salary calculations.
- Submit WPS payroll and arrange salary transfers through local banks in Qatar.
- Coordinate payroll transactions with banks, resolve related banking issues, and help ensure timely salary payments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience; Qatar experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, statements, closing, reconciliations, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Hands-on experience with Qatar WPS payroll processing and bank submissions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
