Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented **Functional Consultant** with a strong background in accounting and 3–5 years of experience in ERP systems (preferably Odoo or similar).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring ERP solutions, and supporting finance-related processes to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, particularly in **accounting and finance operations**.
- Configure and implement ERP modules (Accounting, Invoicing, Procurement, Inventory, etc.).
- Provide functional support for accounting processes including **General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), VAT, and financial reporting**.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Support ERP implementation, testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide post-implementation support.
- Assist in data migration, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with **local financial regulations and VAT requirements**.
- Prepare documentation including user manuals, workflows, and reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in **Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field**
- **3–5 years of experience** as a Functional Consultant or ERP Analyst
- Strong accounting knowledge (GL, AP, AR, Financial Statements, VAT)
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred; SAP, Oracle, or others acceptable)
- Understanding of business processes and financial workflows
- Experience in system configuration and user support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder interaction abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the GCC region (Qatar is a plus)
- Knowledge of ERP implementation lifecycle
- Familiarity with reporting tools and dashboards
- Basic understanding of technical concepts (API, integrations)
- Professional certifications in Accounting or ERP are a plus
