Full Stack Lead (Fintech/Financial Services)

Role Description

Technical Leadership

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of full-stack applications and platform services.
• Define technical standards, coding practices, and development frameworks across engineering teams.
• Review system architecture and code to ensure scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive technical decision-making and solution design for complex business requirements.

Application Development

• Design and develop front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Build secure, high-performance, and scalable applications supporting business growth.
• Ensure seamless integration between front-end, back-end, databases, and third-party systems.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of full-stack developers.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of engineering resources.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and release management activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure adherence to Agile development methodologies and best practices.

Quality, Security & Operations

• Implement secure coding standards and application security best practices.
• Ensure comprehensive testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes.
• Support production releases, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of software development experience, including 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven experience leading full-stack engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Front-End

• React.js, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Responsive and mobile-first development
• State management frameworks and component-based architecture

Back-End

• Node.js, Java, .NET, Python, or similar server-side technologies

• RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Microservices Architecture

• Authentication and authorization frameworks

• PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server

• MongoDB, Redis, or other NoSQL databases

Cloud & DevOps

• AWS, Azure, or OCI
• Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Preferred Experience

• Experience in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Trading Platforms, Financial Services, or SaaS environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience building high-volume transaction processing systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data privacy requirements.
