Front Office Receptionists provide professional and efficient front-desk service as guests’ first and last point of contact.
The role supports a welcoming arrival and departure experience and overall guest satisfaction.
Front desk duties
- Complete check-in and check-out procedures and manage room assignments.
- Process payments and handle cash and credit-card transactions accurately.
- Respond to inquiries, resolve guest concerns, and answer telephone calls.
- Coordinate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a visible front-desk presence and remain on foot and moving for extended periods.
Preferred qualifications and skills
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred; no supervisory experience or license/certification is specified.
- Related front-office, reception, cashiering, customer-service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Preferred skills include check-in/check-out, cash handling, payment processing, PMS knowledge, guest relations, communication, and complaint handling.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, multitasking, hotel and reservation knowledge, and shift flexibility are listed as preferred skills.
Schedule and position
- Full-time schedule.
- The position is not remote.
- Shift, weekend, holiday, and overnight flexibility may be needed.
