Work location is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; the position is not remote.
Cooking and food quality
- Prepare special meals, substitute products, and cold dishes; cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Set oven, grill, and broiler temperatures and thaw frozen food in refrigeration.
- Ensure correct portions, arrangement, and presentation; maintain food records and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Tell the kitchen manager about excess food for daily specials and inform Food and Beverage staff about rejected products and available specials.
Teamwork, safety, and service
- Communicate staffing needs during busy periods and support the kitchen team.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee development.
- Follow company and safety policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company property, and meet quality standards.
- Anticipate guest needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
Physical duties
- The role involves prolonged standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, and crouching; and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Desirable qualifications
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is desirable.
- At least 3 years of related work experience is desirable.
- Supervisory experience is not required; no license or certification is specified.
