About the role

Guest engagement and service

• Welcome guests, listen to their preferences, and follow greeting and seating protocols.
• Answer menu questions and suggest food, wine, drink, and side-order pairings.
• Process orders accurately, communicate with the kitchen, and deliver meals on time.
• Complete opening and closing routines and serve food and beverages according to company standards.
• Introduce staff to table guests and facilitate smooth service transitions.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally using company-approved recovery solutions.

Operational excellence

• Keep the restaurant clean, maintain equipment, and restock supplies.
• Coordinate stock deliveries with the warehouse and verify inventory accuracy.
• Promote offers and upsell to support revenue and guest loyalty.
• Manage seating and waiting lists, assist with menu choices, and support table turnover within capacity limits.
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules, including HACCP guidelines; follow lost-and-found procedures.

Financial and procedural duties

• Handle cash, POS, and wristband transactions accurately and follow cash-control procedures.
• Operate the register, organize receipts, replenish supplies, and balance daily floats.
• Submit accurate daily sales reports and follow procedures for overages and shortages.
• Use machinery and hazardous materials only after designated training and according to safety guidance.
• Assist with other outlet duties, including cleaning, merchandising, and training.

Essential requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of food and beverage service experience.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail; clear communication in fast-paced settings.
• Teamwork, adaptability, a proactive attitude, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience with secure cash handling and POS operations, including shift balancing and financial compliance.
• Knowledge of upselling techniques and food and beverage products.

Desirable qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in hospitality management or a related field.
• Experience in high-end food and beverage service, particularly at a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• At least two years of food and beverage service experience; prior banquet or event coordination experience.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
