The Financial Controller is a key leadership role in the Finance Directorate and a professional expert within the Finance Senior Leadership Team.
The role oversees financial transactions, services, and core finance systems for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Two postholders will share the responsibilities and are expected to collaborate and support senior finance colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage financial transactions, services, and core finance systems.
- Provide expertise in cash-flow forecasting, capital accounting, VAT, and financial reporting standards.
- Deliver complex, sensitive financial information to financial and non-financial staff at all levels.
- Line manage the Financial Services team and oversee its work and projects.
- Partner with the Trust’s capital programme and support balance-sheet and cash considerations in financial planning.
- Work with six other North West London trusts on an ERP system and Finance Shared Service Centre implementation planned to go live across 2027.
