Education and experience
- Either a four-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major, with no work experience required.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major plus two years of relevant experience.
Core work activities
- Coordinate accounting projects and follow up on Accounting SOP audits across property areas.
- Comply with applicable fraud and collection laws and procedures.
- Prepare accurate, timely reports and presentations; analyze information and solve problems.
- Compile, calculate, audit, and verify information; balance credit card ledgers and verify group contracts and credit references when necessary.
- Monitor goals, budgets, reporting deadlines, profits and losses, and taxes.
- Maintain accounting and operational controls, complete period-end functions, and safeguard assets.
- Guide other units on accounting and budgeting policies and the efficient use of financial resources.
- Use computers and systems to develop financial spreadsheets, enter data, and process information.
- Lead accounting teams, delegate work, set deadlines, and support employee development and training.
- Train employees on accounts receivable posting; coach staff and manage work relationships.
- Share relevant information, manage conflict, solve problems, and make collections calls when necessary.
