Role overview

Lead financial controllership, cost optimization, FP&A, and business finance.

Strengthen financial controls, improve profitability, manage cash flow, and provide financial insights for business growth and decisions.

Reports to the Business Head and Directors.

Financial controllership and cost control

  • Manage end-to-end accounting, financial close, and reporting; review P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, MIS, provisions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with Ind AS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Optimize costs across procurement, imports, logistics, marketing, operations, and manpower; monitor budgets and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze product, channel, and business profitability and evaluate the financial impact of initiatives and investments.

FP&A and business finance

  • Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling projections; analyze budget-versus-actual results and business performance drivers.
  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for management decisions.
  • Track revenue, margins, operating expenses, and profitability; partner with teams on pricing, expansion, procurement, and investment decisions.

Working capital, compliance, and team leadership

  • Manage cash-flow forecasts, liquidity, collections, payables, working capital, and fund utilization; improve cash conversion cycles.
  • Monitor inventory efficiency and working-capital requirements.
  • Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits and ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance.
  • Establish finance policies, SOPs, and internal controls; drive automation and process improvements.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team and maintain financial discipline.

Qualifications and experience

  • Qualified or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • 8–10 years in Finance and Accounts, controllership, FP&A, cost control, or business finance.
  • E-commerce, Retail, D2C, FMCG, Consumer Products, or Distribution experience is preferred.

Required skills

  • Financial controllership, FP&A, cost management, business finance, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, audits, statutory compliance, working capital, and cash flow management.
  • Advanced MS Excel and experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Tally.
  • Power BI exposure is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
