Role Overview

The Data Solution Architect role focuses on scalable, cloud-native data solutions across OLAP and OLTP architectures.

The role provides technical leadership on modern data platforms for analytical and operational use cases.

Contract and Compensation

  • The initial contract is six months under a contract-to-hire arrangement, with an opportunity for direct client employment afterward.
  • The posting lists a rate of £120–£130 per day and also states pay of up to ₹4,500,000 per year.

Architecture and Engineering

  • Design Data Lake and Operational Data Store architectures using cloud-native technologies.
  • Define and enforce Data Mesh principles for decentralized data ownership and governance.
  • Design batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka and other streaming technologies.
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for data cleansing, validation, and transformation.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical and operational use cases.

Cloud, Governance, and Quality

  • Use AWS services including S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, and SageMaker for storage, processing, and machine learning workflows.
  • Ensure data solutions are cloud-native, secure, and optimized for performance and cost.
  • Implement data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
  • Define data standards, policies, and best practices with stakeholders.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work with data product owners, engineers, and business teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven data architecture and engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Lake, Operational Data Store, and Data Mesh architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
  • Proficiency in data ingestion, cleansing, validation, and modelling.
  • Expertise in AWS services including S3, Glue, Airflow, SageMaker Unified Studio, Apache Kafka, and Amazon QuickSight.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Banking experience, preferably Transaction Banking within the Commercial line of business.

Work Location

  • The role is hybrid remote in Bangalore City, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
