Location and work arrangement

Responsibilities

• Design Data Lake and ODS architectures using cloud-native technologies.
• Define and enforce Data Mesh principles for decentralized ownership and governance.
• Design batch and real-time ingestion pipelines using Kafka and other streaming technologies.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for cleansing, validation, and transformation.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical and operational use cases.
• Use AWS services for storage, processing, and machine-learning workflows; optimize security, performance, and cost.
• Implement data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage tracking; define standards and policies with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data product owners, engineers, and business teams; provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Skills and experience

• Proven data architecture and engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Data Lake, ODS, and Data Mesh architectures; hands-on Apache Kafka streaming experience.
• Proficiency in ingestion, cleansing, validation, and modeling; expertise in AWS services including the listed examples.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Banking experience, preferably Transaction Banking within the Commercial line of business.
