The role
Provide efficient and professional food and beverage service to hotel guests.
Support guest satisfaction by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining outlet cleanliness and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and present menus; take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally and check on guests regularly.
- Enter orders into the POS system and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams.
- Communicate special requests and dietary requirements.
- Prepare, clean, set, clear, and reset tables.
- Recommend menu items, specials, and promotions and encourage upselling.
- Maintain clean service areas and equipment and follow food safety, HACCP, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Present bills and process cash and card transactions when required.
- Collaborate with colleagues and assist during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous waiter or waitress experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong customer-service orientation.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
