Role overview
Deliver memorable food and beverage service by attending to guests, coordinating orders, and making service transactions part of the guest experience.
Guest and dining service
- Welcome guests, address service needs and requests, anticipate preferences, resolve issues, and provide a genuine farewell.
- Set tables to service standards; clear and clean dining and work areas; retrieve and deliver orders promptly.
- Coordinate with kitchens on orders, wait times, availability, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
- Explain menu items, check guest satisfaction, and follow procedures for alcohol service.
- Prepare room-service orders according to property procedures, log follow-up calls, and advise guests and management of delays.
Payments and closing
- Record transactions and process payments according to accounting policies; follow cash-handling and audit controls and reconcile the bank.
- Organize and maintain the cashier workstation; complete closing tasks, clean and store equipment, restock, secure areas, and complete checklists.
Preferred qualifications and expectations
- At least one year of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
- Higher education, a diploma, or equivalent is listed as preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- Professional English communication, adherence to safety and quality standards, and professional conduct are expected.
