Team assignments may involve mobile banking features, big data for trading systems, merchant payments, or public and private cloud integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Java or Python and iteratively improve products.
- Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity; validate generated output through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
- Create secure production code, maintain algorithms, and contribute application architecture and design artifacts.
- Analyze diverse data, create visualizations and reports, and use findings to improve code quality and system architecture.
- Contribute to engineering communities and a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-query languages.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security; ability to guide peers on safe practices.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methods, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies preferred.
Role level and assessment
- Hiring is for Software Engineer II and Software Engineer III levels; placement depends on skills assessment and interview.
- The assessment evaluates coding and system design. Engineer III scope includes independent work, cross-platform system design, solving functional and non-functional problems, broad issue assessment, and guidance to others.
