Sales and guest reservations
- Use sales techniques to optimize revenue while maintaining existing Marriott guest loyalty.
- Select and provide guest appreciation gifts, such as reward points, show tickets, or gift certificates.
- Promote awareness of the brand internally and externally.
- Process requests to cancel Marriott Rewards points.
- Process room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when taking guest reservations.
- Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns; refer issues to the appropriate department when needed.
Administrative and team duties
- Perform general office tasks supporting Sales and Marketing, including filing, email, transcription, and faxing.
- Assist management with training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
- Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company property.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and use proper telephone protocol.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and monitor others' performance against quality standards.
Desirable qualifications
- A secondary school diploma or GED is desirable.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is desirable.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is listed.
