Executive Director - Finance (SPT & Art & Culture) (CORS357)

Job Purpose

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead financial planning and strategic analysis for sports, performing arts, and cultural initiatives, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s vision and goals.
• Develop and implement business finance strategies that effectively support operational needs while maximizing ROI across diverse projects.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations based on rigorous financial analysis.

2. Budget Management & Oversight

• Direct budgeting processes for the sports and arts portfolio, ensuring effective allocation of financial resources to achieve company objectives.
• Implement fiscal controls and performance metrics that provide actionable insights into financial health and operational efficiency.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing timely variance analysis and reporting to senior management.

3. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Implement best practices in financial governance, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation for financial audits and assessments.

4. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

• Identify and analyze financial risks related to business finance in arts, culture, and sports, formulating strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Develop and implement risk management policies to protect organizational assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure full adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Set clear objectives and performance benchmarks for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Encourage professional growth and development through mentoring, training, and leadership opportunities.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities, partners, and community organizations.
• Communicate financial strategies and results clearly to diverse audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding.
• Support stakeholder engagement initiatives that promote collaboration and strategic partnerships for project success.

**Requirements** **Qualifications & Skills:**

• **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• **Certifications:** CPA, CFA, or equivalent relevant certification greatly beneficial.
• **Experience:** Minimum of 15 years in senior finance roles, with a focus on business finance within the sports, arts, and culture sectors.
• **Expertise:** Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting, with knowledge of the unique finance needs of the arts and culture sectors.
• **Strategic Acumen:** Ability to develop long-term financial strategies that align with organizational missions and operational goals.
• **Leadership:** Strong leadership qualities, with demonstrated experience in building and guiding high-performance finance teams.
• **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
• **Technological Proficiency:** Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools relevant to financial reporting and analysis.
