W Edinburgh is hiring an Executive Chef for its kitchen team.
The role has overall accountability for kitchen operations across SUSHISAMBA restaurant, room service, W Lounge, and meetings and events.
Reports to the Director of Operations.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit and retain kitchen talent; design and implement kitchen policies with the management team.
- Develop and implement menus and lead teams to deliver them to approved standards.
- Train, motivate, and develop teamwork while promoting a positive working environment.
- Represent the W brand with guests and talent.
- Maintain food hygiene, sanitation, and food quality; manage budgets and profitability while maintaining guest and employee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with department heads on the hotel opening and ongoing operations.
Candidate profile
- Previous experience working in five-star luxury hotels.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, organization, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Strong financial awareness and ability to understand financial documents.
- Positive mindset and genuine passion for hospitality.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
Pay
- Pay range is listed as £70,000–£75,000; no pay cadence is stated.
