A UAE main contractor is seeking an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor for its estimation department.
The role focuses on quantity take-offs and tender document review.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and ensure tender document integrity.
- Support cost estimation and tender preparation activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to complete estimation inputs for tendering.
- Review tender documents for gaps, discrepancies, and missing information.
- Assist with Tender Inquiry Forms, quantification, RFQ preparation, rate build-up calculations, and the Specification Review Matrix.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Plan and execute full take-offs, define scope inclusions and exclusions, and quantify architectural, structural, and special items.
- Identify mismatches between BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or tendering; UAE experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of BOQ analysis, quantity take-offs, and tender documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and take-off software such as AutoCAD or Planswift.
