Estimator - Joinery

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review BOQs, architectural and joinery shop drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed estimates for joinery and interior fit-out works, including materials, hardware, fittings, finishes, labour, and other costs.
• Obtain, review, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare costing sheets, tender submissions, and commercial comparison reports.
• Identify tender discrepancies, missing information, and cost risks; raise RFIs and coordinate clarifications when required.
• Prepare variation quotations and support project billing with cost information.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, and Accounts teams to verify requirements and costs.
• Submit accurate, documented estimates on time and maintain organized estimate, quotation, and tender records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator in a joinery manufacturing or interior fit-out company.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, material and labour costing, and tender preparation.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, joinery details, and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of joinery materials, hardware, fittings, finishes, and fabrication methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation or costing software.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Good communication and coordination skills; ability to manage multiple tenders, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
• UAE/GCC joinery and interior fit-out project experience is preferred.

Compensation
