EPF Engineering Director

Job Summary

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and oversee all engineering functions associated with EPF projects from concept selection through commissioning and start-up.
• Establish engineering strategies, standards, and technical governance frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, and Project Engineering disciplines.
• Act as the technical authority for major engineering decisions and project approvals.

Project Development & Execution

• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Support feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases.
• Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project management, operations, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

Operational Excellence

• Support operational readiness, commissioning, start-up, and performance optimization of EPF facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future projects.

Stakeholder Management

• Interface with executive management, joint venture partners, regulatory authorities, EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Present technical recommendations and project updates to senior leadership.
• Facilitate alignment between business objectives and engineering execution strategies.

HSE & Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure engineering designs meet applicable regulatory requirements, international standards, and company specifications.
• Lead technical reviews including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments.

People Leadership

• Build, develop, and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
• Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and technical capability development.
• Establish performance objectives and support employee growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum, or related discipline).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering certification is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 15–20 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Significant experience in EPF, upstream production facilities, processing facilities, or major capital projects.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC project execution, facility commissioning, and production operations.
