Enterprise Architect - Security & Infra

About This Role

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect – Security and Infrastructure to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise-wide technology architecture for our client, a large semi-governmental organization in Dubai. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud and infrastructure design, and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in EA tools such as LeanIX.

This role begins as a 6-month contract (highly renewable) and reports to the Associate Director – Architecture in the IT Department .

This is a high-impact role where you will shape the organization’s future-state architecture, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure that infrastructure and security capabilities are aligned with long-term business strategy. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, influence key architectural decisions, and play a critical role in enabling scalable, secure, and resilient technology ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and continuously evolve target-state architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments, ensuring scalability and resilience
• Embed security-by-design and zero-trust principles across all architecture layers in collaboration with Information Security teams
• Own and manage the LeanIX repository as the single source of truth, ensuring high-quality data, governance, and actionable insights
• Lead architecture governance activities, including design reviews, standards enforcement, and alignment with enterprise strategy
• Drive large-scale transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and application rationalization
• Identify and mitigate technology risks while optimizing cost, performance, and operational efficiency
• Partner with business and IT leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable architecture roadmaps
• Support M&A activities, vendor evaluations, and technology due diligence where required

Knowledge, skills & experience:

• 12+ years of experience in Enterprise, Solution, or Infrastructure Architecture within complex environments
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS), networking, IAM, and modern data center architecture
• Proven experience in designing secure architectures, including Zero Trust, data protection, and integrated security controls
• Hands-on experience with LeanIX or similar EA tools (Ardoq, MEGA, Sparx) for architecture modelling and governance
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent
• Experience in large-scale transformation programs, M&A integration, and vendor/technology evaluations is preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities
