Maintenance supervision
- Lead and guide maintenance technicians, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Train staff on safe work practices, equipment handling, and compliance requirements.
- Supervise daily HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair activities.
- Allocate work orders, monitor timely completion, and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented and recorded.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
Quality, safety, and infection control
- Promote service quality and continuous improvement, and conduct method evaluation or development under standard procedures.
- Maintain applicable safety procedures and quality-assurance tests; support clinical audits and reporting.
- Report occupational safety hazards, incidents, and near misses, and assist with risk assessments and incident reports.
- Participate in occupational safety and infection-control training, drills, audits, and inspections.
- Follow infection-control measures, including hand hygiene, bare-below-the-elbows practices, and environmental care.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow emergency, evacuation, and waste-management procedures.
Education and participation
- Participate in staff education, department and hospital committees, and staff meetings when requested.
- Support orientation and training for new employees and maintain professional knowledge through lectures, seminars, or online education.
Role requirements
- Apply technical skills and demonstrable knowledge of and interest in sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and physics.
- Complete and maintain regulatory requirements, including licensure, certification, and mandatory training within established time frames.
- Comply with occupational safety, infection-control, quality, and applicable hospital policies and procedures.
