Role Overview
Jacobs is seeking a Lead Wastewater Modeler to support wastewater network projects and modeling frameworks.
The role involves delivering technical wastewater modeling and engineering solutions for water industry clients.
The position is listed with a hybrid office setup in Navi Mumbai and other India regions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Build and verify wastewater network models and assess system performance using existing or new models.
- Use models to design wastewater network improvements and enhancements to required technical standards.
- Develop solutions for development impacts, sewer flooding, and unsatisfactory overflows.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior modeling staff.
- Plan and review asset and flow surveys and field investigations.
- Plan, coordinate, and write reports for specific projects.
- Drive health and safety across project activities.
- Liaise with colleagues, contractors, subcontractors, subconsultants, and clients.
- Prepare cost estimates and support project management with robust technical solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Civil Engineering degree or similar relevant degree.
- 8–20 years of wastewater modeling experience.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools including MapInfo or ArcGIS.
- Proven water industry experience focused on wastewater network solutions.
- Experience with InfoNet and InfoWorks CS or ICM.
- Experience in model build and verification, survey supervision, and wastewater solution optioneering or design.
- Ability to provide technical guidance to other modeling staff.
- Experience with outline design of wastewater schemes, sewage pumping systems, and treatment facilities.
- Ability to lead modeling frameworks independently and interact directly with clients.
