Respond to hotel guest repair requests and perform maintenance and basic repairs across building systems, equipment, and guestroom items.
The role is listed as full time, non-management, and not remote, at Marasi Drive in Business Bay, Dubai.
Maintenance and repair duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical-room equipment.
- Repair or troubleshoot plumbing, electrical components, guestroom equipment, internet devices, and other items.
- Complete painting, surface preparation, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup.
- Program televisions, maintain inventory, operate utility shut-offs, and update air-handler schedules and temperature settings.
- Perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs and use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance work.
Safety and guest service
- Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance problems and hazards, complete safety training, and store flammable materials correctly.
- Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, address guest service needs, and pass shift updates to other teams.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect company property and confidential information, and meet quality standards.
- Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance and using stairs, ramps, or ladders.
Qualifications
- A driver’s license is required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Some general maintenance and surface preparation or painting experience is preferred; hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
- No supervisory experience is required.
