Engineer I role in Engineering and Facilities at the Palm Jumeirah property in Dubai.

Maintenance duties
- Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with guests.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspect tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain supplies, order parts, and communicate daily work and issues to other teams.
- Prepare and paint surfaces; make minor drywall and woodwork repairs; replace bulbs and air-conditioning filters.
- Troubleshoot and make basic repairs to plumbing, electrical components, appliances, internet devices, and guest-room items.
- Program televisions; complete engineering inventory tasks and enter air-handling schedules and temperature changes.
- Use lockout/tagout procedures and repair landscaping and outdoor irrigation systems.
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- General maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting experience are recommended.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and professional or technical experience are recommended.
- Hotel maintenance or engineering experience is an advantage.
Safety and work expectations
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards; report hazards, accidents, and injuries.
Store flammable materials safely, protect company property and confidential information, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
Physical duties include lifting and carrying, climbing stairs and ladders, and reaching, bending, and moving objects.
