AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Consultant who will lead the delivery of green building certification and building physics projects across the built environment sector. A key aspect of the role will be to deliver high-quality technical outputs, managing project tasks and teams, and supporting business development activities. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and contributing to the continuous development of sustainability services and methodologies.
Your role
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-8 years of relevant sustainability consulting and building physics experience.
- Strong expertise in energy modelling using IES-VE software for LEED and Estidama.
- Experience leading sustainability assessments, renewable energy studies, carbon assessments, and technical analyses.
- Proven experience delivering medium-to-large-scale projects across multiple project stages.
- Strong knowledge of green building certification systems including LEED, WELL, Mostadam, Estidama, BREEAM, or equivalent.
- Understanding of sustainability regulations, policies, industry standards, and net zero frameworks.
- Ability to review and quality assure technical deliverables prepared by junior team members.
- Professional accreditation such as ASHRAE BEMP, HBDP, BCxP, LEED AP, Estidama PQP, or equivalent preferred.
