Role Overview
The Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
The role ensures electrical systems operate safely and comply with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Carries out reactive maintenance and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for LV/MV systems, low-current systems, and control panels.
Acts as first responder to electrical issues and ensures compliance with BEC standards and client contractual FMA & FMR requirements.

Role Overview
The Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
The role ensures electrical systems operate safely and comply with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Carries out reactive maintenance and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for LV/MV systems, low-current systems, and control panels.
Acts as first responder to electrical issues and ensures compliance with BEC standards and client contractual FMA & FMR requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and rectify faults in FACP, BMS, UPS, PAVA, fan motors, pumps, control panels, lighting and distribution panels, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
- Conduct routine cleaning, servicing, and maintenance of electrical components.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate and prioritize work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, equipment status, and materials used.
- Diagnose and repair system malfunctions requiring specialized technical knowledge.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety procedures, regulations, and electrical standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency callouts.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Certification, ITI, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Valid Electrician License/Certification where required by local regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and equipment failures.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Hands-on experience using electrical testing and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and across various site environments.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of building automation systems and controls is an advantage.
