Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Software Engineer (ElectronJS) to work on a contractual basis.

This role involves developing and maintaining desktop applications using ElectronJS, with a focus on performance, stability, and cross-platform compatibility.

The position contributes to a mission-critical product that serves a global audience, requiring precision in debugging, feature implementation, and integration with backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain desktop applications using ElectronJS and related technologies to ensure functionality across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deliver software solutions aligned with product roadmaps.
  • Debug, optimize, and refactor existing codebases to improve performance and reduce technical debt.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in architectural discussions to enhance system reliability and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing desktop applications with ElectronJS or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Node.js and npm/yarn package management for building and deploying Electron applications.
  • Strong debugging skills using Chrome DevTools, Electron’s debugging tools, and other profiling utilities.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control systems like Git.
