Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and control panels.
- Monitor electrical systems to identify faults and potential hazards.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and related electrical components.
- Conduct routine testing and calibration of electrical equipment.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance staff during repairs and projects.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new electrical installations.
