Job Summary
The Assistant Cook supports the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for catering operations.
The role assists in food preparation, maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensures the timely production of meals according to company and client requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and portioning.
- Support cooks and chefs in meal preparation and cooking activities.
- Prepare basic food items such as salads, sandwiches, sauces, soups, and side dishes.
- Assist in meal service and food distribution.
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to established schedules.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and food safety.
- Follow HACCP and company food safety procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food products.
