Electrical Engineer – MEP role on airport infrastructure, MRO hangar, and other infrastructure projects.
The position calls for 3–5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and review power distribution, lighting, ELV, and earthing systems.
- Prepare load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Supervise electrical installation against approved drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams.
- Inspect electrical works and support testing and commissioning.
- Review material submittals and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and electrical safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with clients and contractors.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution, lighting, ELV, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Experience with transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, switchgear, and control panels.
- AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory; Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of IEC/BS standards and UAE authority requirements such as DEWA.
- Airport, MRO hangar, or large infrastructure experience is preferred; UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
