Duty Manager

Position overview

Guest and front-desk operations

• Process check-ins, verify guest identity and payment, assign rooms, issue keys, and create accurate guest accounts.
• Review rates and market codes, document exceptions, secure payments, and verify or adjust billing.
• Compile daily reports, logs, and contingency lists; complete cashier and closing reports.
• Provide directions and property information, accommodate guest requests, contact appropriate staff, and follow up.
• Process payments, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges; balance and deposit receipts; secure the bank and obtain manual authorizations.
• Follow accounting procedures and notify Loss Prevention or Security about guest reports of theft.

Team, safety, and service standards

• Assist management with training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees; act as a role model and first contact for employee concerns.
• Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Follow company and safety procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist people with disabilities, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Maintain quality standards, use computers and POS systems, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification specified.

Workplace and schedule

• Full-time schedule at the Dubai property; the listing states that the position is not remote.
