Job Summary
As Front Office Duty Manager, you will oversee daily front office operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
You will act as a key point of contact for our guests, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise and demonstrate all front office duties to set standards.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in daily operations, ensuring professional and courteous service.
- Assign and monitor colleagues’ responsibilities, promoting multitasking and regular performance checks.
- Control operating expenses, equipment, and supply usage.
- Ensure telephone calls and messages are handled as per The Meydan Hotel policy and etiquette guidelines; train colleagues accordingly.
- Oversee guest arrival and departure processes for efficiency and accuracy, including passport details and special rate authorizations.
- Manage VIP and long-stay guest experiences, including compensation and special requests.
- Address and resolve guest complaints, escalating major issues to higher management as needed.
- Encourage and implement innovative ideas that add value to guests and the hotel.
- Coordinate with Reception and Housekeeping for room priorities and arrivals.
- Support guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring proper procedures and audits are followed.
- Conduct daily cash spot checks and oversee compliance with DTCM requirements.
- Ensure all colleagues adhere to grooming, hygiene, and appearance standards.
- Mentor new colleagues and conduct performance reviews; assist with staff discipline per hotel policy.
- Attend scheduled training and participate in colleague activities.
- Ensure colleague awareness of lost and found, emergency response, and environmental policies.
- Maintain proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Adhere to attendance and timekeeping procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a front office supervisory or assistant managerial role within a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
