The Duty Engineer role is with Novotel Hotels.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot faults and equipment failures, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Respond to emergencies such as alarms or safety hazards according to protocols.
- Record equipment status, maintenance work, and incidents.
- Coordinate with other departments on operational and technical needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment or systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering field.
- Relevant technical certifications, for example in HVAC, electrical safety, or mechanical maintenance.
- Proven maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience with engineering systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and health and safety requirements.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Computer literacy for logging reports and using maintenance management systems.
