Document Controller - Construction
About This Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all project documents (drawings, RFIs, submittals, reports)
- Maintain document control system as per company and project requirements
- Log, track, and update incoming and outgoing documents
- Ensure proper version control of all drawings and technical documents
- Distribute approved documents to relevant teams (site, consultants, contractors)
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams for document flow
- Track submission status and follow up for approvals/clearances
- Maintain records of shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Ensure all documents are properly filed, archived, and easily retrievable
- Prepare document control reports and logs (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Handle transmittals and ensure proper documentation of communications
- Support audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Ensure compliance with project standards and QA/QC procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in relevant field
- 3–6 years experience in document control for high-rise or construction projects
- Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems (Aconex, EDMS, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
