Role overview
Manage and grow large client portfolios in the data centers, technology, and IT segment while meeting revenue targets, maintaining client satisfaction, and preserving portfolio credit quality.
The role involves local and international client outreach, internal and external collaboration, meetings across time zones, and tight-deadline submissions.
Business development and portfolio
- Analyze clients and their industries or markets to identify opportunities and risks.
- Originate new business across banking products; prepare term sheets, information memoranda, and mandate letters.
- Pitch, review, negotiate, and conclude deals, working with product and enablement teams to address transaction risks.
- Grow client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, achieve performance targets, and maximize portfolio returns.
- Maintain client account plans and files, credit quality, timely credit reviews, agreed conditions, and satisfactory audit results.
Controls and team support
- Improve service quality and supervise subordinates’ day-to-day activities and client interactions.
- Meet bank policies, procedures, process KPIs, ORM, BCP, internal audit, KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Executive Director or line manager with client calls, payment processing, documentation follow-up, account openings, pipeline updates, and other team activities.
- Prepare timely and accurate statements and reports, and attend relevant on- and off-the-job training.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in corporate banking coverage.
- Knowledge of the banking sector, the bank’s products, and business strategies.
- Computer and banking software proficiency; ability to analyze and research information.
- Data analysis, financial modelling, credit analysis, and FOREX skills.
- Communication skills and ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- An MBA or master’s degree in business administration or finance is preferred.
