Job Purpose
The Director – Change Management & Communications is accountable for designing and leading the Group Services change management and communications strategy across enterprise initiatives, shared service transformations, and operating model evolution.
This role ensures that change is adopted, communications are aligned and impactful, stakeholders are engaged, and benefits are realised through disciplined change practices, compelling narratives, and measurable engagement outcomes.
Change Strategy And Delivery Leadership
- Define and embed the Group Services change management strategy and framework, ensuring consistent application across transformation initiatives and operational changes.
- Lead end-to-end change delivery across a portfolio of initiatives, including operating model evolution, shared services optimisation, digital and technology deployments, process redesign, and service culture initiatives.
- Establish and govern change management standards, artefacts, quality gates, and assurance processes to ensure rigour, consistency, and measurable outcomes.
- Integrate change activities with programme and portfolio management disciplines, aligning them to scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, training, and benefits realisation.
- Identify adoption, engagement, and people-related risks early, and design mitigation strategies to address resistance, fatigue, or change saturation.
- Partner with Transformation, PMO, Excellence, HR, and Digital leaders to embed change as a core component of Group Services delivery rather than a separate overlay.
Strategic Internal And Vertical Communications
- Develop and execute a strategic internal and vertical-aligned communications approach that supports Group Services priorities, transformation agendas, and service culture objectives.
- Translate complex initiatives into clear, compelling, and consistent narratives for leadership, managers, and frontline teams.
- Oversee high-quality communication assets, including leadership briefs, FAQs, intranet content, toolkits, campaigns, change story decks, and town hall materials.
- Embed two-way communication mechanisms that enable listening, feedback, and dialogue, rather than relying solely on broadcast messaging.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on communication timing, messaging, and approach during periods of change or disruption.
Stakeholder And Leadership Engagement
- Lead enterprise-level stakeholder identification, analysis, and engagement planning for Group Services initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and executives, coaching them on visible and effective change leadership behaviours.
- Facilitate leadership alignment sessions, workshops, and decision forums to establish clarity of intent, ownership, and sponsorship.
- Establish and sustain a Change Champion / Change Agent network across Group Services functions to drive local engagement, advocacy, and adoption.
- Anticipate and manage stakeholder resistance or misalignment using data, insight, and structured interventions.
- Equip leaders with the tools, messages, and capability to confidently lead their teams through change.
Adoption, Capability Building, and Learning Enablement
- Design adoption strategies that focus on behaviour change, capability uplift, and sustained ways of working, not only go-live readiness.
- Build change capability across Group Services by upskilling leaders, managers, and teams in change fundamentals, communication, and people leadership.
- Integrate adoption considerations into service design, operational governance, and continuous improvement processes.
Measurement, Insights, and Continuous Improvement
- Define and track clear metrics for change and communications effectiveness, including readiness, adoption, engagement, sentiment, capability, and sustainability.
- Develop dashboards and concise executive reporting that provide actionable insight into change health, risks, and progress.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to refine change interventions, communication approaches, and engagement strategies.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned assessments to strengthen future change delivery.
- Identify systemic issues, such as change saturation, overlapping initiatives, or capability gaps, and recommend enterprise-level improvements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Change management certification –
- Prosci preferred
Experience
- 10–15+ years in change management and communications
- Enterprise transformation and shared services experience
