Role purpose
Design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications deployed at client sites.
Support quality assurance and reliable software delivery.
Software development and quality
- Understand product and software requirements, system flows, data usage, and work processes.
- Develop software solutions, investigate problems, and facilitate root cause analysis.
- Translate client requirements into feasible designs with functional teams and systems analysts.
- Evaluate feasibility, code and modify software, fix errors, and adapt systems or interfaces.
- Design and execute test cases and automate software validation.
- Recommend system installations or modifications and identify performance improvements.
- Follow project coding norms and produce code, project status reports, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate project progress and communicate usability, serviceability, and quality risks.
Client delivery and collaboration
- Capture client requirements and clarifications, collect feedback, and support timely delivery.
- Respond to customer requests and troubleshoot queries.
- Consult engineering staff on software-hardware interfaces and performance requirements.
- Document and demonstrate solutions using diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, and clear code comments.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current programming knowledge and support colleagues.
