Full-time Design Coordinator / Senior Draftsperson in the Architecture & Design department.
The role bridges design concepts and technical delivery, coordinating documentation, consultants, approvals, and design integrity across project stages.
Technical documentation and design development
- Lead architectural drawing packages for schematic design, design development, tender, and construction documentation.
- Produce technical details, working drawings, door/window schedules, specifications, and material callouts in line with building codes.
- Maintain drawing quality and CAD/BIM standards; translate design intent into constructible drawings and resolve technical and spatial conflicts.
- Support lead architects by checking buildability, material performance, and budget constraints.
Approvals and consultant coordination
- Prepare and manage authority submission packages for municipality, fire/life safety, and civil defense requirements; track reviews, RFIs, and comments.
- Coordinate architectural packages with MEP, structural, civil, landscape, and interior design consultants.
- Conduct clash detection and technical reviews; attend multidisciplinary design reviews and track actions and project milestones.
Project administration and site support
- Manage drawing registers, version control, and document-control workflows.
- Assist with reviewing technical submittals, shop drawings, and contractor RFIs during construction.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a relevant technical drafting qualification.
- At least 5 years of technical drafting, architectural detailing, and design coordination experience within an architectural consultancy.
- Advanced mastery of AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
- Thorough understanding of local building codes, authority submission requirements, and zoning laws.
- Strong grasp of architectural detailing, structural systems, MEP integration, and construction methodologies.
- Strong communication, project management, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
- Document management software and Navisworks familiarity are a plus.
Pay
- Pay is stated as AED 1.00 per hour.
