About This Role

Deputy MLRO — Dubai-Based Fintech (CBUAE Regulated)

We’re hiring a Deputy MLRO to join a fast-growing fintech headquartered in Dubai and regulated by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE).

This is a high-impact role for an experienced financial crime professional who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments and wants to help shape a best-in-class compliance framework within an innovative fintech business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the MLRO in overseeing the company’s AML/CFT and sanctions compliance framework
• Lead and enhance transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, and regulatory reporting
• Review and escalate STR/SAR filings where required
• Maintain and strengthen AML policies, procedures, and controls in line with CBUAE requirements
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on financial crime and compliance matters
• Manage regulatory requests, audits, and compliance reviews
• Conduct AML risk assessments across products, customers, and geographies
• Deliver compliance training and promote a strong compliance culture across the business
• Stay current on UAE regulatory developments and emerging financial crime risks

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in AML/Financial Crime Compliance within fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
• Previous experience supporting or acting as Deputy MLRO / AML Officer
• Strong understanding of CBUAE regulations and UAE AML framework
• Experience with transaction monitoring systems, investigations, and sanctions screening
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent preferred
• Arabic language skills are advantageous but not essential
